Data Deletion Instructions
Effective date: 16 April 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of personal data that STRAMEDIA SA (“Stramedia”, “we”) processes in connection with the website stramedia.ch and with any Stramedia-operated apps, logins, services, tools or integrations, including integrations with third-party platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google and TikTok.
Data controller
STRAMEDIA SA
Via Livio 14, 6830 Chiasso, Switzerland
Swiss UID: CHE-244.021.563
Privacy contact: privacy@stramedia.ch
What you can request
- deletion of personal data you have provided directly (for example, through a contact form);
- deletion of profile data received through a third-party login (for example, Meta / Facebook Login, Google, TikTok) when such login was used to access a Stramedia-operated app or service;
- revocation of any consent previously given for the processing of your personal data;
- confirmation in writing that deletion has been completed.
How to submit a data deletion request
- Send an email to privacy@stramedia.ch from the email address associated with the data, using the subject line “Data deletion request”.
- Include the following information so we can identify your record:
- full name used when the data was collected;
- email address associated with the data;
- the Stramedia app, login flow, service or channel through which the data was collected (for example: “Facebook Login on <app-or-URL>”);
- any platform-specific user identifier you can share (optional);
- a short description of the data you want deleted.
- We may ask for additional information strictly necessary to verify your identity and to prevent unauthorized deletion requests.
Timeline
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within a reasonable time and will process it without undue delay, and in any case within the statutory period under applicable Swiss and EU law (typically within 30 calendar days). If we cannot complete the request within this period for legitimate reasons, we will inform you in writing.
Scope and limits of deletion
We will delete personal data from systems under our control, including contact-form archives, CRM records and app-login records associated with Stramedia-operated apps.
Please note:
- content you have posted on third-party platforms (for example, on Meta, Instagram or TikTok public profiles) is controlled by those platforms and must be removed directly through them;
- we may retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself (for example, a log of the date and the fact that deletion was performed) for legal-compliance and audit purposes;
- we may retain personal data to the extent required by applicable Swiss and EU law, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or for tax/accounting obligations. Where retention is required, we will inform you of the legal basis and of the retention period.
Third-party login data (Meta / Facebook, Google, TikTok)
If you used a third-party login (such as Facebook Login, Login with Google, or TikTok Login) to access a Stramedia-operated app or service, the data we have received from that platform typically includes the identifier returned by the platform and the profile fields you consented to share at login time. Submitting a data deletion request as described above will delete the data held under our control.
You can additionally manage or revoke access to Stramedia-operated apps directly on the relevant platform:
- Facebook / Meta — Settings & Privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites;
- Instagram — Settings > Security > Apps and Websites;
- Google — Google Account > Security > Your connections to third-party apps & services;
- TikTok — Settings and privacy > Security & permissions > Manage app permissions.
Removing the Stramedia app from your Meta account (Instagram, Facebook)
If you have connected an Instagram Business or Facebook Page account to a Stramedia-operated app or service, you can revoke our access at any time directly inside Meta:
- Instagram: Settings > Security > Apps and Websites > locate the Stramedia app > Remove.
- Facebook: Settings & Privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites > locate the Stramedia app > Remove.
Revoking access in Meta automatically prevents Stramedia from making any further API calls on your behalf. To request the deletion of any Platform Data we have already cached on our servers (cached media, captions, engagement metrics, identifiers), send an email to privacy@stramedia.ch with subject line Meta data deletion request and include the username or business account identifier the request relates to. We will confirm receipt within seven days, complete the deletion within thirty days, and provide a deletion confirmation code on completion.
Stramedia also honours data deletion callbacks initiated by Meta. When Meta notifies us that you have removed our app from your Instagram or Facebook account, we delete the associated Platform Data on our servers within thirty days and return a confirmation URL of the form https://stramedia.ch/data-deletion-status/?code=<CODE> through which you can verify deletion status.
Complaints
If you believe your deletion request has not been properly handled, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, where applicable, with the competent EU supervisory authority of your residence.
